How Low Carb Desserts Can Help You Drop Major Pounds

Breyers Carb Smart Ice Cream

I love low carb desserts – the ones that are keto desserts and Paleo desserts, as well as sugar-free ice cream, that is low carb ice cream. But I also became a big advocate of sweet fat bombs when I discovered intermittent fasting.

I was primarily a two meal a day eater. I would have a big breakfast of four eggs, bacon, and a kale shake is what I usually have that first meal around noon. And for my final meal at 4 or 5 p.m., I’d have a huge kale salad loaded with low insulin index vegetables, protein, and full fat dressing or apple cider vinegar.

When I added a fat bomb at meal one, I found I could go all the way to the next day before eating again. In fact, I can go from dinner to dinner with the addition of a fat bomb at meal two.

What the Research Says . . .

It has taken some time to convince the naysayers, but increasingly, even the most resistant scientists are being forced to take a closer look at the science. New studies are evidencing, as I’ve been saying all along, that  fat and treats like sugar free fat bombs not only help satisfy you, fill the stomach longer, and help dieters maintain a healthy weight, but also that eating more unsaturated fat can promote longevity and help us live longer, healthier lives.

How do you know eating low carb desserts won’t make me fat, Dr. Berg?

I get this question from concerned viewers all the time. “But what if my system is different—what if I’m leptin resistant, already overweight, and I’m one of those people for whom eating fat makes you fat.”

And I tell them to start watching and reading the hundreds of success stories from people who had the same concerns but is now 50-100 pounds lighter because they trusted the process. Most overweight people lose 6-11 pounds. In fact, this happens their first week on the ketogenic diet. Including low carb desserts in your diet does work.

Satiety Works

More and more today, scientists are finding that satiety is the key to weight loss. Since dieting is a severe stress to the system—and starvation throws you into physical, mental, and emotional stress, dieting is actually counterintuitive—spiking all your fat storing stress hormones.

The key to successful weight loss, then, if finding healthy ways to treat yourself that don’t throw you out of fat burning mode.

Treats like the ones below are great ways to promote satiety and healthy weight loss and keep you in fat burning mode and suppress those stress hormones that shuttle all the food you eat to the fat cells.

  • Keto desserts
  • Low carb desserts
  • Low carb ice cream
  • Paleo desserts
  • Sugar free ice cream

For Ultimate Success With Fat Bombs

If you really want to promote fast weight loss and enhance the power of fat bombs to help you lose weight then try combining ketogenic eating + Intermittent Fasting – with a specific strategy thrown in.

Try the two meal a day approach—and cram those two meals together as close as you can. Eat at say—noon and 3 or 4. Add a sweet or savory fat bomb to the end of meal two – that will keep you going as long as 24 hours before you have to eat again, leaving you in fat burning the other 20 to 24 hours of the day!

There is no faster, more effective means of healthy weight loss on the planet. Check out our recipes on how to make these low carb desserts
